Metricool Flows, and the features we are not using yet

YT pasted Metricool's new automation feature (keyword auto-replies to comments and DMs, chained message sequences, per-flow stats) and asked: "add this to what our posts can do now? any other features we don't know about we can use?"

Scope. Web-sourced on 2026-09-28 under the open-web yes linked above. Only Metricool's own pages (site, pricing, help centre, press release) were used. Nothing was switched on, connected or scheduled in Metricool. This file holds no email or deliverability fact.

Confidence. High = a Metricool page states it plainly. Medium = Metricool's pages, but read from the pricing table (whose ticks are shaky in a text read) or two of its pages disagree. Low = not stated by Metricool.

Our setup, as checked on 2026-09-28. Paid "normal" plan, treated as Starter. No approvals (the MCP's review call returned 403, "no subscription with team management"). Brand "yannatorry" = RME LinkedIn page, RME Facebook page, YouTube. Brand "YT" = YT's LinkedIn profile, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube. Meta has restricted Facebook and Instagram for security reasons, so those are paused. No TikTok connected.

The short answer

  1. Flows cannot run on anything we use today. They work on Instagram and TikTok only (X was

announced as next). Not LinkedIn, not Facebook, not YouTube. Our Instagram is paused by Meta and we have no TikTok. So the answer to "add this to what our posts can do" is not yet.

  1. Our plan does include Flows, free "for a limited time", later a paid add-on on Starter and

Advanced. So the day Instagram is back, it costs nothing to try.

  1. The multi-step "sequence" is short. On Instagram a Flow is at most 3 steps (public reply, first

DM, follow-up DM with a link button), up to 24 hours apart. It is not a long nurture sequence.

  1. Worth switching on now, no messages sent: UTM tagging plus the link shortener, best-time to

post, automated monthly reports, and the Inbox for LinkedIn comments. These help the LinkedIn work straight away and none of them speaks as YT.

  1. Anything that replies for YT is red zone. See the box at the end. Three example flows are

drafted there, all DRAFT, NOT ON.

Limits Metricool states for Instagram: public reply 300 characters, each DM 1,000 characters, at most 24 hours between steps, the Instagram account must be a professional one linked to a Facebook page, and a DM can carry one button with a link. Up to 3 reply variants per Flow so the answers do not look robotic. Everything sent shows in the network and in the Metricool Inbox. Flows run from the web dashboard only (Planning, then Flows), not the mobile app.

Plan. "Flows is free for all paid plans for a limited time. It is not available on the Free plan." The press release adds it "will later become a paid add-on within the Starter and Advanced plans". No add-on price is published yet. So our plan includes it today (High).

Stats. Metricool's press release says each automation has "its own stats on sends, interactions, and CTR". The pricing table lists "Flow analytics" and "Execution history". The "conversions" in YT's pasted text is not on the pages we read, so treat it as clicks on the link, not sales. (Medium)

Why not LinkedIn. Metricool's own "Automate LinkedIn" page offers scheduling, RSS autolists, CSV bulk upload and analytics, and nothing about automatic replies or DMs (High, absence on its own page). LinkedIn's own rules on automation are the likely reason, but that is our reading, not Metricool's (Low).

2. Features we are not using yet, ranked for selling list cleaning

Ranked by how much each helps the one audience we can reach, YT's LinkedIn network of marketing leaders and small-firm owners (see the ICP). The main CTA stays the app, reviewmyemails.com/get-started, with a call as the softer option.

Effort: S = minutes in settings, M = an hour or a small routine, L = a project.

3. 🟥 Red zone: auto-replies and DM sequences send messages as YT

Every Flow is a customer message sent in YT's name. Customer messages are red zone in CLAUDE.md. So:

  • No Flow is switched on without YT's explicit yes to its trigger words, every line of its

wording, and the link it sends. One yes per Flow, never a blanket yes.

The drafts below carry no email fact on purpose.

  • No Claude chat turns a Flow on, edits one, or schedules posts as part of this ticket. Claude

drafts, YT switches on.

  • Today none of these can run anyway. Flows are Instagram and TikTok only, and our Instagram is

paused by Meta. The drafts wait for that.

DRAFT, NOT ON: Flow A, "list" to the app link (Instagram, comment to DM)

Picks for YT (for the Content PM to ask)

  1. Switch on UTM tagging and the shortener as the default for every post? (No message is sent, only

links change.) Yes / No.

  1. Which draft Flow do we prepare first for when Instagram is back? A "list" to the app / B

"partner" to 15% / C "almanac" to an answer / none for now.

  1. Turn on the monthly automated LinkedIn report, and to whom? YT only / YT and the Super-PM / not now.
